The Pathfinder system is built for Dodge owners who prioritize on-road comfort with the capability to handle light to moderate off-road terrain. Nestled between the Backcountry and Pintop, this system delivers a controlled and predictable ride for light to moderate off-road use, though it won’t stay as composed as the Pintop over aggressive, high-speed terrain. On the road, however, the Pathfinder stands out. Small and medium imperfections are absorbed with ease, creating a supple, comfortable ride that doesn’t require an aggressive driving style to feel its benefits. It’s the perfect choice for drivers who value daily comfort, but want their suspension to come alive when venturing off the pavement.

 

The Details:

 

This system features Carli-SPEC 2.5” aluminum-bodied shocks finished with a hard-anodized coating for superior corrosion and scratch resistance. All billet components are black-anodized, creating a sleek, premium look straight out of the box—an aesthetic that previously cost customers over $1,200 in custom color upgrades on our King kits. With 55% more piston surface area than 2.0” shocks, it provides improved heat dissipation and extended rebuild intervals. Inside, we’ve spec’d a high-performance red shock oil designed to resist heat and fade, even under spirited driving, ensuring consistent damping and long-term reliability. The Pathfinder delivers unmatched on-road composure and comfort for which many are happy to sacrifice the extremes of off-road capability they’d find in our King-Shock offerings. This system is the result of over a year of development, tuning, and testing to deliver exactly what customers felt was missing: a premium 2.5” shock package that’s affordable, aesthetically premium, on-road focused, and build to withstand the rigors of HD off-road use.

 

The included Adjustable Track Bar recenters the axle laterally at the taller ride height white the Carli reservoir mounts hold the 10” Remote Reservoirs on display over the front tire. Further, ride quality can be substantially increased with the addition of our Torsion Sway Bar. We recommend a 35” tire on a wheel that’s no more than 9” wide with 5.5”-6” Backspace. An 18” diameter wheel will be best to ensure optimal ride quality (more rubber = better small bump compliance) and an unloaded tire pressure of 45F/40R is recommended. Tires and Wheels: How Do They Affect My Ride?

 

**This system will NOT be upgradeable to any other Carli Suspension Systems.** It’s designed to be a solution for customers wanting a quality, big-shock system boasting a plush on-road ride, mild to moderate off-road performance, minimal lift and NO reduction in payload or hauling capacity. We recommend slight eccentric bolt compensation to correct caster after the lift as there are no Radius Arm Drops included. For this reason, customers may experience a slight bow in the coil spring. We did not experience a coil bow in any of our test trucks but it’s possible at the 2.5” lift height without a Radius Arm Drop Bracket. A Radius Arm Drop Bracket can be added to alleviate bow and recenter the caster adjustment if bow is encountered. This system will result in tight and responsive, sports-car like handling; the 3” Suspension Systems will ride softer in the rear given the included reduced capacity rear springs.
